Is there a good boat launch around Steilacoom ferry? Or did you launch at solo point boat ramp
If you have a small boat, you can launch a Stielacoom under the train tracks (to the right of the ferry terminal). Otherwise, solo point is the next closest ramp, but you need the permit from JBLM. The launch at Stielacoom does cost $5 btw.

@DoEverythingDad I actually put the links to everything I used in the description of the video. I've used the rod and reel to catch lingcod off the jetty. It is also a great setup for big sturgeon!

Usually make clam chowder, but they are also excellent fried, or sautéed in butter and garlic. It's all great no matter what.

How easy where? And when? Season is over, beaches are closed for Red tide in Washington.
My long videos have all that information. Be sure to check them out. This was last fall at Grayland Beach. Digging is closed in the summer, so the clams can spawn. It so happens that there is also a red tide going on concurrently with the closure.

There are no turtles on these beaches.
@@SoundFishing2020 That's fair. However, other things could get trapped in those holes or kids tripping, etc.
The holes are filled in when the first wave hits them. Since we are digging at the lower tidal zone on a minus tide, that usually occurs within an hour. Everyone at the beach is there to do one thing, and that's razor clam. In 35 plus years of digging, I've never seen anyone fall or trip in a 4 inch hole.
